Originally from Lecco, the city made famous by Alessandro Manzoni, author of the iconic novel "The Betrothed" - "I promessi Sposi" -, Dr Combi received her high school leaving qualification in the Sciences, and subsequently enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan. After graduating, she began her career in 2008.

 

Dr Combi completed her maxillofacial surgery residency at Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico IRCCS Cà Granda in Milano, in the craniomaxillofacial department (Prof. A.B. Giannì - Prof. F. Biglioli, Prof. R. Brusati). 

 

Between 2010 and 2012, she collaborated with the world expert for orthognathic, cosmetic and feminisation face surgery, Prof. M. Raffaini at the Face Surgery Centre in Parma, Italy, specialising in orthognathic (jaw) surgery and aesthetic surgery of the face. 

 

Following her time in Milan, Dr Combi travelled to Zurich, Switzerland, to undertake a fellowship (2012-2013) at the University Hospital Zurich in the Craniomaxillofacial Department, which is known for its pioneering work in the genesis of orthognathic surgery and for being one of the highest volume centres for orthognathic surgery in the world. During this period, she had the honour of meeting Prof. H. Obwegeser. Prof. H. Obwegser is the father of modern orthognathic surgery.

At the same time, Dr Combi worked as a guest physician at Dr A. Triaca's Maxillofacial Surgery Centre, at the well-known Klinik Pyramide am See in Zurich. Dr A. Triaca is one of the leading experts in bone distraction.

 

To expand and deepen her expertise by liaising with world-renowned experts, Dr Combi travelled to Barcelona, Spain, where she worked alongside Dr H. Alfaro, and to Burges, in the Netherlands, where she met Dr S.Gwen. Both are pioneers and innovators of craniofacial 3D-planned surgery.

 

After invaluable years spent in Zurich, she returned to Milan, where, in 2016, she obtained her board certification in Maxillofacial Surgery. 

 

In 2017, Dr Combi moved to Zurich, where she worked alongside Prof. J. Obwegeser in his Spalt- und Kraniofaziales Zentrum for one year. This invaluable experience provided her with in-depth knowledge and expertise, as well as a broad scope of cleft and craniofacial surgical techniques.

 

Since 2019, Dr. Combi collaborates with her colleague Dr. C. Jacobsen (The Facial Surgery Team), performing several orthognathic, sleep apnea and aesthetic facial surgeries at the Limmatkinik, Bethanien Klinik and Pyramide Kinik am See, Zurich.

 

In 2021, she also acquired the title of General Practitioner in Switzerland and became a member of FMH. 

 

In 2022, she completed a Master's Degree in Aesthetic Medicine at University Pegaso, Italy, specialising in cosmetic and anti-age medicine.

 

In 2022, Dr Combi established her private practice in Zollikon, Zurich.
